The Little Green Ride gets wet

The weather came back to bite us with a vengeance in March. I rode out and got the best of the day but after that it was downhill all the way weatherwise. Indeed the weather was so bad that when I called the pub to tell them we were on our way, they were amazed that we were actually cycling after all.

The only other people out in the countryside appeared to be a bunch of sheep huddling around an old building.
This month we had chosen one of our traditional pubs, the Lilley Arms, and took over the snug at the back, draping dripping clothes everywhere. Thanks to the patience of the pub staff for putting up with us on such a grisly day.
